SolarCraft Hires New VP of Sales & Marketing

Solar industry leader hired to help manage growing business

SolarCraft, a leader in solar energy and solar thermal system installation, announced today that John Maloney has joined their company as the new VP Sales & Marketing. Maloney’s experience in managing the sales and marketing efforts of a rapidly expanding business will help lead SolarCraft as they continue to expand and gain market share in the ever-growing Solar Energy Industry.

John was a former owner and VP of Sales and Marketing for Panamax, the country’s pre-eminent designer and manufacturer of electronic and electrical protection, filtration and control products, based in Petaluma. During his tenure at Panamax, John defined the new product strategy for the consumer electronics market, including custom home theater, initiating over 24 new products—many are currently selling at Best Buy. Results included taking the company from $9 million in annual sales to $30 million annually in six years.

He received a BA in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a MA in Humanities from Dominican University of California.
