Napa Wine Country Solar & Battery Installation
Solar for vineyards, estates, and homes.
SolarCraft has designed and built solar across Napa Valley since 1984, from family homes to some of the valley's largest winery systems, and we design every project, rooftop or ground-mount, around your property and your usage.
Commercial and winery solar in Napa Valley
We've built solar for wineries, resorts, and businesses across Napa Valley, including 400 kW at Duckhorn's Migration Winery, 184.4 kW at Honig in Rutherford, 140 kW at the Indian Springs Resort in Calistoga, and a 54.3 kW system at Anette's Chocolate Factory's Napa production facility. Commercial systems are sized to offset a portion of a facility's electricity use, and we design each one around the building's load and its roof or land, with rooftop, carport, or ground-mount options depending on the site.
Backup power for wine-country homes
For a home, a battery does two jobs. Day-to-day, it stores your own solar for the evening under NEM 3.0, when the power you export earns far less than what you pay after sunset. And when the grid goes down, it is designed to keep your essential circuits running, with the backup duration depending on the battery size and the circuits you choose, which we size with you. We install Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, and Franklin systems, matched to your home.
Why choose SolarCraft in Napa Wine Country
SolarCraft has installed more renewable energy across Napa Valley than any other North Bay provider, from family homes to the valley's best-known wineries and resorts. As a 100% employee-owned company, the people who design your system have a stake in getting it right, and we stand behind the work after the system is running.

Napa Wine Country solar & battery FAQ
Do you install solar for Napa Valley wineries?
Yes. We've built solar for wineries and resorts across the valley, including 400 kW at Migration, 184.4 kW at Honig, and 140 kW at Indian Springs. Commercial systems are sized to offset a portion of a facility's electricity use, and we design each one around its load and its roof or land.
Can you install ground-mount solar on a vineyard estate?
Yes. On larger parcels, a ground-mounted system placed away from shade often outproduces a roof array while leaving the roof untouched. We design for the whole property, including outbuildings, and recommend rooftop, ground-mount, or a mix.
Do you work on rural and agricultural properties?
Yes. We size systems for the home and any outbuildings together, and on rural parcels a ground-mount is often the better fit. We start with your land and your PG&E usage and design around how the property actually uses power.
Do you install battery backup for wine-country homes?
Yes. A home battery stores your own solar and is designed to keep essential circuits running during an outage. We size it to the loads you want to protect, like your refrigerator, internet, well pump, and a few lights.
Who handles permits across Napa Valley?
How much does solar cost?
It depends on the property, the usage, and whether you add a battery, so we price each system to the site rather than quoting a flat number. For homes, the Prepaid PPA lets many owners pay one discounted upfront price, 20-30% less, and own the system after six years.
How does the Prepaid PPA work?
You pay one discounted upfront price, with no monthly solar payments, no escalators, and no buyout, and you own the system after six years. A commercial financing partner captures the available tax incentives and passes the savings to you, 20-30%.
