Vacaville solar powerNovato- and Sonoma-based SolarCraft and Napa Electric announced the installation of a 51.5 kW solar energy system in Vacaville, CA for The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1245 facility. SolarCraft handled the design, procurement, rebate and interconnection services, while Napa Electric provided installation and system commissioning.

The 51.5 kW solar electric system consists of 224 SunPower high efficiency 230 watt solar panels. The system is roof mounted, utilizing the innovative SunPower T-10 non-penetrating rack system and is expected to generate 78,049 kilowatt-hours annually.

The system will enable the IBEW to generate enough clean electricity each day to power 26 average homes and will spare the air over 45 tons of harmful greenhouse gases annually. Over the next 30 years, the air pollution saved will be the equivalent of driving over 3.1 million miles.
