SolarCraft, announced that a staff member, James Holloway, was honored as a Clean Energy Advocate by the City of Santa Rosa at its 2nd Annual Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 16, 2011.
James gained recognition for leading Sonoma County in greenhouse gas reductions and energy conservation. A Solar Sales Consultant at SolarCraft, James practices what he preaches, by producing clean energy at home with a solar electric and a solar pool heating system, as well as conserving energy by upgrading to a high-efficiency furnace. The City honored James for being a leader, and demonstrating that clean, renewable energy is important to our future.
The City of Santa Rosa has established a Clean Energy Advocate (CEA) pilot program within Santa Rosa and Sonoma County which provides an independent, unbiased advocate to assist homeowners in navigating the renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water-use efficiency upgrade process. The City is in partnership with Solar Sonoma County and is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Solar America Cities Special Projects grant through December 2011.
