San Anselmo Solar & Battery Installation
Dependable solar and storage, done right.
SolarCraft designs solar and battery as one system, sized to your home, backed by 40 years across Marin, including the solar system at the Sleepy Hollow Community Center.
We powered the Sleepy Hollow Community Center
It's the kind of local work and local accountability that comes from a 100% employee-owned company that has served Marin since 1984.
Adding a battery to your existing San Anselmo solar system
Plenty of San Anselmo homes already have solar, but no storage, and under NEM 3.0, that leaves savings on the table, because exported daytime power now earns far less than what you pay at night. In most cases, we can add a home battery to an existing system, so you store your own daytime energy for the evening and have backup that's designed to keep your essential circuits running when the grid goes down.
How much it backs up depends on the battery size and the circuits you choose, which we size with you. We install Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, and other leading battery systems, matched to your home. Starting from scratch? We design solar and battery systems together.
Why choose SolarCraft in San Anselmo
From the Sleepy Hollow Community Center to homes across the Ross Valley, SolarCraft has installed solar and battery in San Anselmo and across Marin for over 40 years, more renewable energy systems than any other North Bay provider. As a 100% employee-owned company, the people who design your system have a stake in getting it right.

San Anselmo solar & battery FAQ
Can I add a battery to my existing San Anselmo solar?
In most cases, yes. We assess your existing system and main panel, then add a compatible home battery so you can store your own daytime energy for the evening under NEM 3.0 and have backup for outages. We'll confirm what your current setup supports before we recommend anything.
Do you serve Sleepy Hollow and the rest of the Ross Valley?
Yes. We install throughout San Anselmo, including Sleepy Hollow (where we installed the community center's solar), and across the Ross Valley. We design each system to the specific roof and how the home uses power.
Who handles the Town of San Anselmo permit and PG&E paperwork?
Do I need a battery with my solar?
For most new systems, yes. Under NEM 3.0, exported daytime solar earns far less than grid power at night, so a battery lets you store your own energy for the evening, and it's designed to keep essential circuits running during an outage.
Will a battery keep my home powered in an outage?
A home battery is designed to keep your essential circuits (or more of the home) running during a power outage. Runtime depends on your battery size and which circuits you back up, both of which we size with you.
How does the Prepaid PPA work?
You pay one discounted upfront price, with no monthly solar payments, no escalators, and no buyout, and you own the system after six years. A commercial financing partner captures the tax incentives and passes the savings to you, up to 30%.
Will solar and battery add value to my home?
Owned solar generally adds resale value in California, and typically does so without increasing your property-tax assessment.
