North Bay's Leading Solar & Clean Energy Firm Gets a Visit from a Senator
Novato and Sonoma-based SolarCraft, a leader in solar and clean energy system design and installation, is proud to have hosted a visit from California State Senator Mike McGuire.
Senator Mike McGuire and CalSEIA's Policy Director Brad Heavner, visited SolarCraft offices on Friday, January 5, 2018 to discuss policy and public-private ideas to drive solar and sustainability in our region.
SolarCraft is proud to have led the regional energy transition for 35 years, and discussed how clean energy solutions have benefitted - and continue to benefit - Senator McGuire's 2nd Senate District constituents financially, environmentally, and socially. Specifically, so far SolarCraft alone has delivered the following benefits to over 6,716 customers in the 2nd District:
• Saved $7,500,000 in electricity costs saved annually
• Avoided 60,000,000 pounds of CO2 every year
• Currently supporting a workforce of 50 employees
• Set the standard of social responsibility being a 100% Employee-Owned company since 2015
Thanks to local heroes such as Senator McGuire, the fight for solar and other renewable options continues to force itself forward, gaining insurmountable momentum against even the toughest adversaries. We appreciate the assistance Senator McGuire has provided and look forward to following his continued protection of our vital industry.
